Insert a lancet into the lancing device firmly. 4. Twist off the protective cap of the lancet. 5. Carefully replace the lancing device cap on the lancing device. 6. Adjust the puncture depth. 7. Apply alcohol to the skin to be pierced and allow to air dry. Note: If the site selected for puncture is visibly dirty, wash the area with soap and water, and then wipe it dry. Cleaning should be performed prior to disinfection of the blood sampling site. 8. Put the lancing device against the sampling site and press the release button. 9. Apply a drop of blood to test strip. 10. Stick the lancet tip into the lancet cap and discard the used lancet in an appropriate container. 11.
